Motherhood Matters Circle

Finally, a safe place for you to be the mother you want to be, without feeling judged.

Motherhood Matters Circle is your chance to be part of a group of other mums who share your experiences, challenges and wins, including a psychotherapist who has been where you are now.

I see you, Mama, trying so hard to care for everyone and keep on top of everything.

You adore your baby, but you’re feeling overwhelmed, undervalued, exhausted and lonely.

This isn’t what you expected.

  • You are feeling physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted.

  • It’s very hard to find time for yourself and almost impossible to switch off.

  • While you adore your baby, you are not able to “enjoy every minute”.

  • This is confusing, and maybe even a bit scary, because it isn’t what you expected.

  • Sometimes you feel like you hardly recognise yourself.

  • You feel very disconnected from your "old" life, and wonders if you'll ever feel "normal" again.

  • You feel under pressure to be all things to all people, with very little space to just be YOU.

  • It’s difficult to find unconditional support, because you feel the people around you don’t understand how much your life has changed since you became a mother – and you can’t quite believe it yourself!

  • The days are long, and you’re lonely.

  • You’re wondering “when will this get easier?”

Right now:

What if :

  • The rollercoaster of motherhood felt more manageable.

  • You had a framework to make sense of the physical, mental, emotional and relationship changes motherhood has brought, and it finally made sense that you sometimes don’t recognise yourself.

  • You had simple, quick practices that you can easily integrate into your baby-care routine to check in with yourself and give your nervous system a break.

  • You knew how to make small changes to your self-care that will have a big impact on how you are feeling.

  • You were able to trust that everything you do for yourself also benefits your baby.

  • You felt confident about mothering your baby your way, and other people’s opinions and expectations bounced off you.

  • You had the support of a group of mothers who accept you exactly as you are, who “get it”, because they are navigating this massive transition too.

You CAN be the mother you want to be,

AND be YOURSELF at the same time.

The next Motherhood Matters Circles will begin in December 2024.

There are two ways to join, with each group meeting weekly for 6 weeks:

  • In-person (Churchtown, Dublin):

    Wednesday mornings 10.30am - 12pm from December 4th.

Your investment for the in-person Motherhood Matters Circle is €240, or 2 payments of €120. *

Or, if you live too far away for this, you can join the on-line group instead:

  • Online:

    Friday mornings 11.30am - 12.30am from December 6th.

Your investment for the in-person Motherhood Matters Circle is €180, or 2 payments of €90. *

*Many health insurance policies contribute to visits to a psychotherapist

so please check this with your health insurance provider.

Both groups will take a two-week break for Christmas,

and resume on the 8th/10th of January.

Whether in-person or online, as a group we will explore how motherhood is impacting your thoughts, feelings, self-care habits and relationships, and I will offer information and strategies to help you navigate the transition with more ease and confidence.

Through exploration of the process of matrescence (the transition into motherhood) I will support you to understand that what you are experiencing is completely normal, and to create boundaries and ensure that your needs are met.

Come as you are, and if you’re in the in-person group as we chat we’ll enjoy (hot!) tea or coffee and healthy, yummy treats.

Babies (awake, asleep, feeding, teething, crying, cooing) are very welcome to our sessions.

Between sessions we will continue to support each other through a WhatsApp group.

I felt very comfortable sharing my experience and asking questions, it was such an easy going space.
Hearing others’ experiences and honest stories was very helpful.
It was lovely to be able to speak as much/little as you want.
Lots of tools packed in!
I would recommend the workshop to someone in the early stages of motherhood, particularly if feeling alone or struggling.

Hi, I’m Marci.

I’m mum to a 11-year-old girl and a 8-year-old boy, and a psychotherapist. I am passionate about supporting new mothers following my own difficult transition into motherhood. I use my experience and what I have learned so far on my motherhood journey, along with my psychotherapy training, to provide accessible and very practical support to new mothers.

You are not alone, and motherhood doesn’t have to be as challenging as it feels at the moment. No matter what you are feeling, I promise you are not the first person to feel that way, and that is why being part of a group like the Motherhood Matters Circle is so powerful.
